Forests provide us with well-being, livelihoods, raw materials, recreation and peace in our everyday lives. State-owned forests are called multiple-use forests, because many different user groups use them for many different purposes simultaneously. The goal of natural resource planning and zoning is to reconcile different perspectives and needs related to forest use while ensuring the biodiversity of forests.
