You may not drive any motor vehicle off-road without the landowner’s permission. You are allowed to drive on ice and on snowmobile trails, but on trails maintained by Metsähallitus you need a trail permit. The driver must be at least 15 years of age and always wear a helmet. The Road Traffic Act is in effect on official trails, which means you need a driving licence when driving on them. You may not ride a snowmobile on roads, but you can cross one if necessary. The speed limit is 60km/h on a road and 80km/h on a trail. Driving an all-terrain vehicle easily damages the terrain and the roots of trees and disturbs nesting birds. For this reason, you may not drive an ATV off-road without the landowner’s permission.

Henkilö ajaa moottorikelkalla lumisessa maisemassa, ilmeisesti järven jäällä. Hänellä on päällään kypärä, keltainen huomiotakki ja mustat housut. Kelkan perässä on reki. Taustalla näkyy metsäinen ranta. Kuva on otettu kaamosaikaan ja aurinko on laskemassa puiden taakse. Etualalla on puiden oksia.
